The protagonists of the Lamera Cup started the 2024 season a few kilometers from Nevers (Nièvre). Initially, the Magny-Cours circuit was to serve as the scene for the inaugural round. A delay in the delivery of new Ford engines, straight from Detroit (United States), forced the promoters to review their plans. Rather than competing in this first meeting, they offered the teams and their drivers the opportunity to carry out two days of testing. A boon for the eighty drivers spread across the twenty-five cars present who accumulated the kilometers on these prototypes now powered by a 2,3-liter 4-cylinder with 350 horsepower.
