Indisputable victory for Team Lamera in Race 1 at Aragón / Lamera Cup

The very first Lamera Cup event on this circuit located in the middle of nowhere between Tarragona and Madrid had a tumultuous start.

During the briefing organized earlier in the day, advice was given to avoid braking after the 150m sign. The pilot of number 421 nevertheless tried. Rushing 4e on the grid, he arrived faster than the others in this left turn at the end of the pit straight and he was unable to negotiate it.

Carried away by his enthusiasm, he catapulted the No. 73 which had taken pole position. Returning to the plateau, she was able to leave, but she finished very late. The culprit also had to go back through his box to have his hood changed and carry out a stop-and-go penalty. With these two cars from the elite category excluded from the fight, a three-way match was first set up.

The yellow car bearing the No. 80 created an illusion for a few laps before the No. 62 of Team Lamera took the lead and achieved a flawless performance.

At the end of the 4 hours of racing, the crew won with a 13'' lead over the No. 29 of the CTF Delta Chandioux. The 80 from the Continental Racing team completes the podium. In the other two categories, the No. 15 from Race Track Competition won in Pro/Am and the No. 45 from Triangle Monaco in Gentleman.

If today's race ended just before a storm that had been threatening for a while broke out, we will have to monitor the weather for tomorrow when the 7 a.m. round will kick off at 9:30 a.m.
