2019 Supercars calendar revealed

The calendar for the 2019 Supercars season will include several new features even if competitors will continue to compete in around fifteen events. It will be the Perth meeting which will host a night race in the “SuperNight” format. The Sydney Motorsport Park round will disappear for a year, while the Bathurst 1000km will launch the Enduro Cup.

If Sydney Motorsport Park was the round hosting the night event this year, it should be back in 2020 as part of a new format planned for this season which should begin in the first months of the year.

“We are very happy with the result obtained, commented Supercars director Sean Seamer. We were able to place events on more suitable dates, which was a necessity to optimize ticketing and for TV broadcasts. For example, the Sandown race will be contested outside of the NRL and AFL finals in September. »

The formats of the Gold Coast and Sandown events will now be identical with a 500km race contested by a crew of two drivers.
