After Denny Hamlin, it’s Joey Logano’s turn to extend his contract with Team Penske for a long term.
The 2016 vice-champion of the Nascar Sprint Cup signed a contract for at least 30 races per season for seven years with the "Captain" team while its current contract was valid until 2018. Oil company Shell also signed to stay until at least 2022 .
Logano left Joe Gibbs Racing at the end of 2012 to join Team Penske which only runs two cars, the second being entrusted to Brad Keselowski. The driver of the No. 22 Ford has 17 victories and 81 top 5 finishes in 291 starts.
