The 500th race of the German Touring Championship (DTM) fell into the hands of Audi, as the bookmakers had predicted. Sunday August 25, the brand with the Rings scored a quintuple during the second race of the Lausitzring meeting.
Among the Audi drivers, it was, obviously, championship leader René Rast who collected the winner's trophy. The number 33 rider got off to an excellent start from the second row, before mark instructions forced Jamie Green to give up his first position at the start of the fifth lap.

The podium is completed by Nico Müller, winner in Race 1, and Mike Rockenfeller. There are only two BMWs present in the top 10, those of Marco Wittmann (6th) and Philipp Eng (10th).
French Loïc duval (Audi) finished eighth. THE Aston Martin Vantage of the R-Motorsport team recorded no points after three retirements and a meager 12th place.
