Pure ETCR – Eng and Romeo Ferraris, premieres in Copenhagen

Second and final day on the Copenhagen urban route for the pure ETCR. The Austrian driver (newcomer to Denmark) and the private team Romeo Ferraris achieved their first success in the electric touring championship. This nice surprise does not call into question the position of Mattias Ekström, still at the top of the general classification.

In group B, Philipp Eng takes pole position ahead of Jordi Gene (Cupra Racing) in great form. Mikel Azcona only qualified in 5th position.

In the final of group A, Mattias Ekstrom, on his way to a victory that was within his reach, was surprised 500 meters from the finish by a mega-opportunistic Luca Filippi. The Italian steals the victory by passing a mouse hole. Filippi is ahead of Ekström and Jean-Karl Vernay who managed to overtake Oliver Webb very early in the race.

Luca Filippi could have been crowned King of the weekend, without taking into account the perfect copy rendered by Philipp Eng. The Austrian, by winning his final, ahead of the two Cupra Racing drivers Jordi Gené and Mikel Azcona, won the overall standings of the Danish race. The very happy rookie of the day paid a nice tribute to his entire Romeo Ferraris team which became the second entity to win in Pure ETCR (after two Cupra victories at Vallelunga and Aragon).
