Marcello Lotti is a successful entrepreneur. It was he who in 2013 redefined the global touring car. The Italian felt that it was possible to build, for competition, touring cars based on the production model. The idea was to copy the GT3 system to allow vehicles with a 2.0 liter turbo engine to compete in the same format as the World Car Championship.
