Van Gisbergen crowned in Supercars All Star Series

Shane van Gisbergen won the title in the Supercars All Star Series, the virtual championship contested on the iRacing platform, at the end of the final contested on the Oran Park and Bathurst tracks.

With a lead of 108 points over Scott McLaughlin after his victory in the first event, the resident of Red Bull Holden only needed a 5th place at the Mount Panorama track to secure the title.

However, the race was difficult for the title contender who sent Anton de Pasquale into a spin and lost several positions in the maneuver.

While it was Harley Haber who won this final race, Shane van Gisbergen won the title by completing the Top 5 behind Brodie Kostecki, Chaz Mostert and Anton de Pasquale who benefited from the virtual champion's fair play.

DJR Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin quickly lost his title hopes when he hit the tire wall at the entrance to the pit lane at the end of the third lap in the finale. The two-time Supercars champion finished in 3nd position.
