VIDEO – The shakedown of the Ferrari 296 GT3

The year 2023 will be that of change for Ferrari in the world of GT3. After more than 7 years of good and loyal service, the 488 GT3 from the manufacturer Maranello will bow out at the end of the 2022 season to make way for the 296 GT3, currently under development.

Expected for the next campaign, the Ferrari 296 GT3 continues the driving sessions at Fiorano, the trans firm's test trackalpine, with the reigning champion of WEC in the GTE Pro category, Alessandro Pier Guidi, and development driver, Andrea Bertolini, at the controls.

 « I'm delighted with how the two days of testing went here at Fiorano, confided Alessandro Pier Guidi a few days ago when he had the opportunity to try his future mount for the first time. La Ferrari 296 GT3 proved to be a delightful and precise car to drive. Obviously, at this stage the work has focused on systems testing and essential reliability, and we are happy with the data we have collected."

A few days after revealing the first photos of the 296 GT3 on track, Ferrari this time published a video of the shakedown of the replacement for the 488 GT3. Development work will continue over the coming months to get Maranello's new car ready for the start of the 2023 season.
