Valtteri Bottas (ART Grand Prix), third in the championship F3 Euro Series last year, best rookie, hopes to succeed his former teammate, Jules Bianchi, in order to add his name to the F3 Euro Series prize list. But, despite this ambition, the Finn got off to a bad start in his quest since, after the Castellet weekend, he was in ninth place in the general classification of the discipline, with one point.
On the other hand, three men stood out this weekend: Edoardo Mortara, Alexander Sims and Marco Wittmann, who reached the podium in both races. On Saturday, it was the experienced Mortara who won, flying the Signature colors, while this Sunday, it was Sims who made ART Grand Prix shine.
« I am very happy to achieve the second success of my career in the Formula 3 Euro Series here., confides Alex Sims. Starting a new season with a victory and a place on the podium is great »
The drivers who shone this weekend will be able to confirm their status at the next meeting, the weekend of April 23-25, at Hockenhaim, during the launch of the racing season. DTM.
