FRMEC – Théophile Naël wins Race 2 in Abu Dhabi

This is a champion response! After losing his hard-won podium in race 1 due to contact with Taylor Barnard, Frenchman Théophile Naël took advantage of the penalty and his demotion to 8th place, to start from 3rd position on a reverse grid, and win this race 2 ahead of Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Mari Boya.

The Habs jumped when the lights went out and took on poleman Ugo Ugochukwu and Thai Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak from the first corner. Sovereign, he was never bothered afterwards, not even when the Safety Car disappeared at the end of the race. Spanish F4 champion, the Frenchman confirms his sparkling form by winning the race. This is also the first success of the French Saintéloc team in the category.

Already not in good spirits at the start, Ugochukwu had a nightmare race, since he had to abandon mid-race after being taken out at the chicane of turn 6. Also note the great comeback of the winner of the previous race, Tuukka Taponen, from 10th to 4th place, again ahead of Martinius Stenshorne.
