Sami Meguetounif arrives at Trident in 2024

At 19, Sami Meguetounif begins a new chapter in his young career. The Frenchman will compete in the 2024 FIA season Formula 3 within the Trident team, which is neither more nor less than the champion formation in 2023 in the Drivers ranking, with Gabriel Bortoleto.

Sami Meguetounif joins Trident after a season of Formula Regional Europe by Alpine (FRECA) finished in ninth place, with three podiums. “I am really excited to join Trident, said Sami Meguetounif. We all know the team has done a good job in recent seasons. I am very excited to take on this new challenge and to drive during the same race weekends as the great drivers of the Formula 1. I will work hard this winter to arrive at (the first round) Bahrain well prepared! »

The native of Marseille had already driven the Dallara F3 for Trident as part of post-season testing this fall. “I have already started working with the team during post-season testing and they have already taught me a lot to help me adapt to this new category and help me go faster on track. »

Giacomo Ricci, Trident Team Director, adds that his new recruit “impressed the team's technical staff during preparation tests in Jerez, Barcelona and Imola. We are confident that by joining the Trident Motorsport family, Sami will find the right environment to achieve great milestones in motorsport. »

Sami Meguetounif will team up with the Italian Leonardo Fornaroli. The latter scored three podiums, including one in the Main Race, and a pole position (Great Britain) in FIA F3 in 2023.
