Doriane Pin: “A victory which allows us to build a good foundation for the future”

This is what we call a successful bet. Left for Malaysia to make her big debut in car, Dorian Pin rose to the challenge. After a first podium last weekend, which she also shared with her compatriot Hadrien David, the Habs continued to progress over time.

Third then second in the first two races of the F4 SEA final at Sepang, the Frenchwoman hit the mark with her first single-seater victory in Race 3 this Sunday. On the track, Doriane Pin beat Kai Daryanini (Pinnacle Motorsport) by 5 and Peter Bouzinelos (AGI Sport) by 300.

« It's a very good feeling, she reflected after the festivities on the podium. Race 3 went very well. We opted for the right choice of tires because it was raining on the grid but it wasn't enough to put the rain tires on. This is why we decided to stay on slicks. Then we had a good pace throughout the race and I didn't make any mistakes.

I am very happy to get a first victory for my second weekend at Sepang. As a team we worked very well. This allowed us to build a good foundation and gain confidence for the future.."

Engaged in the last two rounds of the 2023 F4 SEA season, Doriane Pin finished in 2nd^e place 48 points behind champion Jack Beeton but with one meeting less. Her record is also noteworthy since she reached the podium 4 times in 6 races including one victory, and has always scored points.

As for its future, nothing has been done. While this should not happen in the premier category ofEndurance after a campaign with Prema in LMP2, “Rocket Pocket” could turn to single-seater in 2024, whose big objective is to one day reach the F1.
