Bianchi confirms his status

Jules Bianchi is well on his way to increasing his lead at the top of the rankings Formula 3 Euro Series. If the two races on Saturday and Sunday will distribute the points at stake, Jules Bianchi made sure to start in the best conditions in order to consolidate his lead. This Friday, the Frenchman quickly dominated the qualifying session. This session lasted longer than usual, with three interruptions disrupting it. First it was Kevin Mirocha (HBR Motorsport) who hit and damaged the rail, which required repairs before qualifying continued. Sam Bird (Mücke Motorsport) and Cesar Ramos (Manor Motorsport) then made mistakes, leading to two more interruptions.

These adventures did not prevent Jules Bianchi (ART Grand Prix) from putting his stamp on the session, with no driver managing to get close to his time. The Frenchman now hopes to turn the test into a race. “ My car was really perfect and I achieved a flawless performance on my best lap. During this afternoon's practice, the settings were not yet at their best, but we were able to improve that before qualifying. Tomorrow I intend to win. » For his part, Jean-Karl Vernay (Signature), third in the session, recognized that his compatriot was untouchable at Zandvoort. “ I think I could have reached second position, but I wouldn't have been able to get pole. Jules set the bar very high with his best lap. » For the pole sitter, confirmation is expected on Saturday, from 11:40 a.m., for the first race.
