Bianchi as leader at Zandvoort

With two victories to their name, Jules Bianchi and Christian Vietoris are the two strong men at the start of the season in Formula 3 Euro Series. However, during the last meeting at the Norisring, the Frenchman made his mark by scoring 14 points over the weekend, which now allows him to lead his runner-up by nine points. Christian Vietoris, however, does not intend to let the ART Grand Prix driver escape. The most consistent driver since the start of the season, he is the only hope to have scored points in each race.

For its first meeting of the season outside Germany, the entire field will not be too disoriented. Indeed, the majority of teams and drivers from the Formula 3 Euro Series already met in Zandvoort five weeks ago as part of the ?Tango Masters of Formula 3?. Valtteri Bottas secured the triumph of this prestigious Formula 3 meeting ahead of Mika Mäki and Stefano Coletti.

Eighth in the general classification, Bottas will obviously want to repeat his success even if he knows that it will not necessarily be easy. “II of course have very good memories of Zandvoort and I am happy to come back there “, he says. " It's a circuit on which I have always felt in my element, because I like fast corners, which are not lacking at Zandvoort. But I also know that it will not be easy to replicate my Masters success. The fight in the Formula 3 Euro Series is very close; everything must be perfect to be able to achieve victory. »

One point behind Christian Vietoris, we find a group of three men who break away and stand at five points. Jean-Karl Vernay, Roberto Mehri and Sam Bird will thus try to play spoilsport to get closer to Jules Bianchi in the general. Adrien Tambay, on the points gate at the Norisring, will also try to nibble a few additional places to make his appearance in the general classification.
