Bianchi places himself as boss

Jules Bianchi is the boss of Formula 3 Euro Series. After a start to the season where Christian Vietoris and Jean-Karl Vernay matched him, the Frenchman positions himself as the big favorite for the final victory. In the last three races, Bianchi has collected 28 points out of a possible 28.

Starting in pole position for this first Oschersleben race, Jules Bianchi did not tremble. Well slender, the ART Grand Prix driver was able to maintain his position, unlike Christian Vietoris, passed by Roberto Merhi, and Jean-Karl Vernay, overtaken by Alexander Sims. After the first round, Jules Bianchi offered a recital to his rivals, who finished very far from first place. In 22 laps, the Frenchman left Valtteri Bottas by ten seconds and Roberto Merhi by more than fifteen seconds.

Christian Vietoris falls just short of the podium and is ahead of his teammate at Mücke Motorsport, Alexander Sims. Jean-Karl Vernay, sixth, has been slightly behind for a few events but remains third in the general classification. His teammate, Mika Mäki, eighth in this first race, will have the advantage of starting from pole on Sunday morning, during the second round.

With the ten points for victory and that for pole, Jules Bianchi takes the lead in the general classification. He now has 60 points, or 23 points more than Christian Vietoris. The Nice player's statistics are impressive. In nine races this season, he has won five, reaching the podium seven times. He also won 42 points at the Norisring, Zandvoort and Oschersleben rounds, out of a possible 45. If the season is still long, the Frenchman is racing towards the champion title.
