Bianchi, solid leader at the Norisring

If the exclusion of Coletti made Bianchi's task easier, the Frenchman can congratulate himself on his full weekend. Winner of the first race (10 points), third in the second (4 points), Jules Bianchi leaves the Norisring with a now comfortable lead. Indeed, with 32 points, he has nine and ten points more than his two pursuers, Christian Vietoris and Jean-Karl Vernay. Bianchi, starting from eighth position on the grid, was able to quickly move to the front, getting the better of Sims, Guttierez then Merhi. It was ultimately Christian Vietoris who won on Sunday morning, keeping the best of the two Frenchmen who were chasing first place, Vernay and Bianchi. The three men on the podium are also at the top of the general classification.

Another Frenchman, Adrien Tambay, may be disappointed at the end of this weekend. Third on the starting grid for the first race, he was penalized with a pit stop, dashing his hopes of scoring his first points of the season. Starting far from the lead in the second race, the rookie made a very good comeback, finishing in seventh place. Unfortunately, only the top six can score in the second round of the weekend.

The big loser of this third round is undoubtedly Stefano Coletti. Third in the first race, his sixth place on the grid for the second allowed him to have a lot of hope. The former championship leader (at the end of the opening weekend of the season) thus had the opportunity to capitalize. But the Monegasque found himself excluded from both races for having hit Jules Bianchi, happy to see a pursuer spend a weekend without points.
