C1 – Piastri distance Martins to Abu Dhabi
Oscar piastri (R-ace GP) is piling up the successes in 2019. The Australian driver recorded, Friday October 25, his seventh victory in Formula Renault Eurocup this year, and is getting closer to the title.
Starting from pole position, Frenchman Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) lost big at the start. The Renault Sport Academy resident was unable to do anything against Oscar Piastri and Lorenzo Colombo (MP Motorsport), who were much quicker to put out the lights.
Passing back in front of his teammate Lorenzo Colombo after a few laps, Victor Martins tried to threaten the championship leader. However, on a circuit renowned for offering processions, the slightest attack was impossible.
In the general classification, Oscar Piastri has a 20,5 point margin over the Habs. This is not enough to secure the title with one race remaining, but this lead allows Oscar Piastri to calmly approach the final, the start of which will be given on Saturday at 11:15 a.m.
