C3: First victory for Troitsky

Starting from second position, Jüri Vips (Motopark)'s hopes of victory were quickly dashed as he completely missed his start. Conversely, Daniel Ticktum (Motopark) burst into flames and stole the start from pole position, condemning him to a pit stop which resulted in a final retirement.

This offers the racing controls to Nikita Troitsky (Carlin) who, although unusually placed so high in the hierarchy, manages to keep his pace and not let himself be distracted by the first safety car on track to recover the car from Ben Hingeley (Hitech GP) to Tarzan.

The race is finally interrupted as Julian Hanses (ma-con) goes straight into the rail in the Kumho bend. As the gravel trap banking did not allow rapid extraction of the car, the race was declared over with 3 minutes remaining on the clock, with only half of the points being returned to the drivers.

While his best performance was a 9e instead, Nikita Troitsky won in F3 European in front Guanyu-Zhou (Prema) and Jehan Daruvala (Carlin). Marino Sato (Motopark) signs his best result with a 4e place ahead of his teammate Fabio Scherer. Alex Palou (Hitech GP) signs a 6e place and ahead of Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) and Jonathan Aberdein (Motopark).

Artem Petrov (Van Amersfoort) signs his first points in F3 with a 9e place while Enaam Ahmed (Hitech GP) completes the top 10. Sacha Fenestration (Carlin) ends his weekend with an 18e position.
