Caio Collet takes second pole at Magny-Cours

End of series for Victor Martins. The French ART Grand Prix driver failed to secure a fourth consecutive pole. He left the honor of first place to his rival Caio Collet. The Brazilian had a perfect session, never leaving his first position and improving almost with each pass.

With a time of 1'33"133, the R-ACE GP driver is ahead of Victor Martins by 149 thousandths. The championship leader came close to missing his session.

He waited until the last eight minutes to really get going, then had some traffic before setting his only convincing time in the very last lap of qualifying. A relief in view of the championship.

Behind the two strong men of the series are David Vidales (JD Motorsport) and Lorenzo Colombo (Bhaitech). The second Frenchman Hadrien David finished ninth, in 1'33"946.
