Eurocup: the race interrupted, victory for Colapinto

Winner of the first race of the season at Monza last July, Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) won race 1 this Friday at Spa-Francorchamps, which was interrupted ten minutes from time following Reshad's exit. of Gerus (Arden) at the top of Raidillon. The Argentinian therefore won his second victory in the category, ahead of Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) and Ugo De Wilde (Arden).

Author of a supersonic start from the second row in Dantean conditions, Colapinto swallowed up De Wilde and Martins to take the reigns from the first turn and never leave them. Behind, despite the permanent aquaplanning, the MP Motorsport driver showed himself strong to resist the Frenchman, who himself was penalized after a bad start. 

Despite everything, the operation remains positive for Victor Martins, who takes six points from Caio Collet (R-ace GP) at the top of the drivers' standings. The Brazilian driver, who remains his main rival in the championship, finished 7th after starting from 11th place. The R-ace GP driver is doing well since only half of the points were distributed.

For his part, Hadrien David (MP Motorsport) finished 8th, behind his teammate Kas Haverkort (MP Motorsport), who discovered the category since the Barcelona round two weeks ago. Race 2 will take place this Saturday morning at 10:45 a.m.
