He is indeed the strongman of the week in Abu Dhabi. Double winner during the second round of the F3 Asia Thursday and Friday, Jehan Daruvala does it again this weekend. The Indian took pole in both qualifying sessions on Saturday morning.
In Q1, he achieved a time of 1'53"399, which gave him pole position by 190 thousandths ahead of Pierre-Louis Chovet, winner of race 3 on Friday, and Guanyu-Zhou.
Behind, the gaps rise to 789 thousandths for Dino Beganovic and Roy Nissany, confirming that the first three are above the rest. Except one is missing. The disappointment indeed comes from Isack Hadjar. Excellent since the start of the week with three podiums, the Frenchman missed his session and ranked ninth, far from his standards.
Hadjar recovered during Q2 with a nice fourth position. No surprises in the session since Jehan Daruvala dominated, 59 thousandths ahead of the Chinese Guanyu Zhou and 71 thousandths ahead of Pierre-Louis Chovet.
