Literally planted. First in line on the grid, Guanyu-Zhou failed to take off when the lights went out and found himself in last position. Meanwhile, pole sitter Pierre-Louis Chovet made a perfect start and escaped in the lead, until the intervention of the Safety Car, for an accident at the back of the pack.
When we start again, do it again. Pierre-Louis Chovet quickly took off again and headed towards his second victory of the season. The show was rather behind, with a second round of the Jehan Daruvala vs Isack Hadjar duel.
Once again, the Indian, put under pressure, managed, thanks in part to a track that was very unfavorable to overtaking, to keep the Frenchman behind him. That still makes three podiums in three races for Hadjar.
The Japanese Ayumu Iwasa and Zhou complete the top 5. The Chinese put on a show when he came back on new tires, unlike many drivers.
