F3-C1: William Buller winner on green carpet

If Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam) had started from pole in Race 1 at the Norsiring, the Italian missed his start and fell to fifth position while his teammate Daniel Juncadella took off superbly from the second row to take the lead. leads the event ahead of Pascal Wehrlein (Mücke Motorsport). The German took the advantage when the Spaniard missed his braking at the last corner. But the Prema driver then attempted an inside maneuver and hit the leader. The Italian who had started on pole then tried to take advantage but was also hit by the Hispanic driver.

Daniel Juncadella was not overjoyed on the podium, his result being threatened with a penalty following his aggressiveness during Race 1 which was stopped when Raffaele Marciello hit the wall with his car unbalanced following his previous collision. William Buller (Carlin) took the opportunity to take second place and could recover the victory on the green carpet if Daniel Juncadella was penalized. Emil Bernstorff (ma-con Motorsport) completes the podium while Pietro Fantin (Carlin) takes victory in the British F3 by taking fourth place ahead of Felix Serralles (Fortec Motorsport).

The commissioners ultimately decided to downgrade Daniel Juncadella. Victory thus went to William Buller (Carlin) who won ahead of Emil Bernstorff (ma-con Motorsport) and Pietro Fantin (Carlin) who climbed onto the podium. “Pascal was slow at the chicane because of a latecomer and I was really close at the exit of the corner”, explains the excluded pilot. “You have to surprise the driver in front. I went inside and he could have given me more room. With Raffaele, I don't understand what happened. I feel sorry for him but it's part of the race. »
