F3-C2: William Buller wins five-lap race

Starting in pole position thanks to the reverse grid principle, William Buller won on the Zandvoort circuit at the wheel of his Dallara/VW from the Carlin team. However, the Briton only scored half of the points since the race only lasted 5 laps, the fault of a heavy downpour at the start of the race.

After a long period of interruption, the race resumed for 4 minutes and the Briton did not tremble against Daniel Juncadella to win. “ My start was good, just like my first lap, He explains. The safety car then entered the track before the race was stopped. Of course, it's not that bad, but it was so short... But a victory is a victory, and I'm happy. I keep all my chances in the championship. »

The championship leader therefore finished second ahead of Rookie Pascal Wehrlein. Raffaele Marciello collided in the first corner with his teammate Michael Lewis.
