F3 – C3: The premiere of Pascal Wehrlein

Starting from fifth place on the starting grid, the 17-year-old German from the Mücke Motorsport team was able to avoid collisions in the first corner to take the lead ahead of the two Carlin drivers, William Buller and Jazeman Jaafar. Author of a flawless performance and faster than his opponents, Wehrlein won his first victory in Formula 3 Euro Series with 9”474 ahead of the Briton Buller and 18”188 over the Malaysian Jaafar.

Author of pole position, Daniel Juncadella had a difficult race. Responsible for the collision with Felix Rosenqvist at the start, the Spaniard was penalized with a drive-through before beginning his comeback. As he tried to overtake his compatriot Carlos Sainz Jr, the Prema Powerteam driver made contact before giving up. The championship leader could have increased his lead in the championship since Raffaele Marciello retired from the start, colliding with his teammate Sven Müller.
