F3-C3: Ocon wins again in Hungary

Esteban Ocon took advantage of his pole in Race 3 to score a fifth victory this season on the Hungaroring track where he had already won in the previous event. The resident of Lotus F1 Junior Team maintained the advantage at the start ahead of Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) who gained two positions by taking advantage of his teammate Lucas Auer and Antonio Fuoco who took a little longer to get going.

But the Italian did not give up and quickly overtook the Austrian on the first lap before regaining his second place when Felix Rosenqvist received a drive-through for exceeding the limits of the track. The leading order remained unchanged until the red flag came three laps from the finish due to a violent downpour. Max Verstappen finished at the foot of the podium after overtaking Antonio Giovinazzi (Carlin) who was ahead of his teammate Tom Blomqvist, the winner of the first race of the weekend.

This fifth success for Esteban Ocon allows him to take off in the Championship with a lead of 82 points over Tom Blomqvist.
