F3 – Dennis, Albon and Rosenqvist on pole in Portugal

The three F3 European Championship races in Portugal will see three different drivers start from pole position. Alex Albon offers Signature a new pole this year.

F3 – Dennis, Albon and Rosenqvist on pole in Portugal

Le European Championship F3 made a stopover for the first time this weekend in the Algarve in Portugal. The qualifying sessions held this Friday allowed Jake dennis (Prema Powerteam? Mercedes), Alexander albon (Signature? Volkswagen) and Felix rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam – Mercedes) to stand out.

For the first race which will take place tomorrow morning, the Briton Jake Dennis took a hat-trick of Prema drivers during the first qualifying session, beating new recruit Nick Cassidy (who drives the car previously entrusted to the Frenchman Brandon Maïsano) and Lance stroll.

Fifth in the first session, the Thai Alexander Albon distinguished himself during the second session by dominating the proceedings in 1'41″976. Felix Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam) fails at 27 thousandths while Nick Cassidy once again climbs into the top 3 at 90 thousandths. The starting grid for race 3 being decided by the second best time, it is Rosenqvist who will start from pole.
