F3 – George Russell joins Carlin

At 16 years, the British George Russell will move to the next level this year, committing in FIA F3 European Championship with the Carlin Racing team. Winner of the BRDC F4 championship, the Norfolk native also competed in FR 2.0 ALPS and Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, with a victory at Jerez in Spain on behalf of Tech 1 Racing.

“I am very excited to begin the next chapter of my motorsport career with a team that has such pedigree, says Russell. My goal is to win races and championships and Carlin has a lot of experience for that. Joining the list of names that have driven for the team in the past is a great honor and I am focused on having a great 2015.”

Russell will find the American Gustavo Menezes, confirmed by Carlin last December, who will be in his second season in the championship.
