F3 – Ocon must stop Verstappen’s streak in Moscow

Esteban Ocon seemed untouchable before the halfway point of the season was reached, such was its lead. With five victories in 12 races, the Lotus resident F1 Junior Team did not think they could be worried about a possible return of competition. This was without counting on the exceptional performances of Max Verstappen who became the first pilot of the F3 European Championship to achieve consecutive successes at Spa-Francorchamps and the Norisring! The Frenchman protected his leading position by finishing in second place each time… except on two occasions when he dropped out.

Before entering the seventh round of the season in Moscow, Esteban Ocon no longer has a 74-point lead over the Van Amersfoort Racing resident. The Prema Powerteam driver does not intend to drop any more points to the Dutchman. “I know the Moscow circuit from the days when I drove in Formula Renault 2.0 and I'm already on the podium. I like riding on this circuit which has many turns. This style of drawing suits me well. Overtaking is not really easy and qualifying will once again be particularly important. After two events where I did not achieve a single victory, my goal will be to change the situation in Russia. I think I can stop Max Verstappen's streak in Moscow. »
