Alex Palou goes full-time in F3

The confirmation of Alex Palou for the entire season of the F3 European Championship with Hitech GP must delight the Spaniard.

Launched in car from 2014 where he quickly distinguished himself in the Euroformula Open, finishing in third place in the Championship with two victories to his name, the Hispanic driver integrated into the Young Drivers of the Barcelona circuit subsequently experienced a more complicated passage with Campos Racing in the GP3 Series before bouncing back into Japanese F3 by finishing third again with Threebond, notably scoring three wins, ten podiums and five poles.

Alex Palou also showed off by scoring a victory on his Formula debut Renault 3.5 Series within Teo Martin Motorsport. The year 2017 also allowed him to make his debut in F2 returning to Campos Racing on the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi where he took 12th place in both races.

“I really want us to win titles together. The winter testing went very well and I can’t wait to come back to race in Europe.”, confirms the person concerned.

“I have followed his progress over the last few years and he has continued to show that he is a very young, fast and competent driver., adds Hitech GP Team Principal Oliver Oakes. He proved he had something special during his time in F2 in Abu Dhabi and during rookie tests in Super Formula. »

Hitech GP previously confirmed the commitment ofEnaam Ahmed who dominated the previous British F3 season. The British team, fourth in the Team rankings in 2017, will therefore play with two rookies this season.
