Bianchi returns to his altercation

Saturday June 27: Jules Bianchi, second on the starting grid for the first race of F3 Euro Series on the Norisring, leads a serious race and wins. On the podium, he is all smiles, alongside Alexander Sims and Stefano Coletti. But, after the photos, words flow between the first and the third. And Stefano Coletti strikes Jules Bianchi in the face. The Frenchman is stunned, the Monegasque is excluded from the weekend and sees his third place canceled. The next day, in the press, the facts were reported according to different versions. Following what was revealed by his opponent, Jules Bianchi wanted to react on his official website. The Frenchman wishes to reestablish a truth that he considers quite different from what he has read.

« After the presentation of the cups, I went to shake Coletti's hand to congratulate him on his podium but he told me that I was lucky to win. I didn't really understand his resentment (?) and I told him that he should silence his frustration and that the championship was not designed for him to win every race. The tone rose (?) and Coletti suddenly hit me in the face. With a sore jaw, I went to the medical center. On the way out, I had a text message from Coletti asking me to talk about the event again, that it was too stupid because we had known each other for a long time. I was therefore all the more dismayed when I read his version of the facts in the foreign press. It is an accumulation of untruths (?). Yes, we exchanged pet names and he was not shy about it, but I never insulted his family. I respect family too much to stoop that low. (…) I want the truth to be reestablished: the incident happened in front of witnesses, I did not provoke him or disturb him, and he was also punished. I have never made an inappropriate or unsportsmanlike gesture. »
