Bottas on pole at Brands Hatch

Valtteri Bottas got the better of Jules Bianchi. After the impressive domination of his French teammate, the rookie of the ART Grand Prix team achieved the best time in the qualifying tests at Brands Hatch, which took place in two stages (group A and group B). Finland is celebrating at Brands Hatch since Mika Mäki set the best time in group A. The front row of the first race at Brands Hatch will therefore be 100% Finnish.

Jules Bianchi, championship leader, is suffering a big disappointment since he will start from the eighth row on the starting grid on Saturday. However, the Frenchman was credited for a moment with the best time in group A, before making a mistake and seeing his time tumble down the hierarchy. The Niçois is finally credited with the eighth time in his group.

If Mika Mäki achieved a very good performance, his teammate at Signature, Jean-Karl Vernay, does not register with satisfaction. Losing speed in recent events, the Frenchman only achieved the ninth fastest time in group B and will therefore start from the ninth row.

The third Frenchman on the field, Adrien Tambay, can be very satisfied with his performance. Back after his fracture in Spa following a football match on July 20, the rookie of the French team ART Grand Prix achieved the sixth time in group B, earning himself a start on the sixth row. The start of the first race at Brands Hatch will be given on Saturday at 12:45 p.m.
