The platoon of F3 faced a difficult challenge in facing the rain in the final race of the weekend in Misano (Italy). After a start under safety car regime, the marshals interrupted the event until the downpour calmed down.
Marcus Armstrong (Prema Theodore Racing) retained his pole advantage when the green flag was waved before giving way to teammate Ralf Aron and being sent into a spin by Guanyu-Zhou, also in the formation of the Italian team which saw two of its drivers abandon.
Ralf Aron finally won with just over a second ahead of Juri Vips (Motopark), while Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) completed the podium ahead of Championship leader Daniel Ticktum (Motopark) and Mick Schumacher (Prema Theodore Racing). Sacha Fenestraz (Carlin) ranked 12th.
Daniel Ticktum will enter the Nürburgring round (Germany) on the weekend of September 9 with a 12-point lead over Juri Vips.
