GT Sport, the organizer of the Euroformula Open, unveiled a modified event calendar for the 21 season on Thursday May 2020. Eight circuits are planned, but two places have disappeared from the plans of Spanish officials: Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) and Hockenheim (Germany).
The single-seater championship replaces these meetings with Mugello (Italy) and Jarama (Spain) next fall. For other meetings, GT Sport ensures that it works with the national authorities to establish a security protocol to ensure the season can be held without health risks.
“We are definitely looking forward to returning to Pau and Hockenheim next year, specifies Jesus Pareja, head of GT Sport. We thank these two circuits for their efforts in finding a postponement solution, but unfortunately this was not possible. »
The cancellation of the 2020 Pau Grand Prix has still not been made official but week after week, the disciplines scheduled to take over the streets of Béarn announce their defection, like the French FFSA GT Championship, which will instead go to Albi (Tarn).
As for the Euroformula Open, it preserves a trip to France, to Paul-Ricard in Var at the end of August.

July 11-12: Hungaroring (Hungary)

September 26-27: Monza (Italy)
