The modern and historic Grand Prix of Pau will not take place at the end of May as planned, due to the repercussions of the coronavirus epidemic.

Coronavirus – The 2020 Pau Grand Prix postponed

It was to be feared. The Pau Grand Prix (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), a French motorsport institution created in 1933, will not take place in May 2020, due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

The 2020 edition of the modern event was to be held from May 22 to 24, while its historical version was scheduled a week later, from May 30 to June 1. The organization announced the postponement of the city race on its website on the evening of Tuesday March 17. The date of the postponement is not yet known, but must be within a wide range. from 3 to 12 months, without, for the time being, new dates being able to be set ».

 

 

Located in the heart of the city of King Henri IV, the Pau-Ville circuit is temporary, like Monaco or Macau. Municipal agents were to begin installing the stands, rails, fences and other tire walls eight weeks before the green light for free practice, from March 23. 

 

 

 

The 2020 Pau Grand Prix includes the French Championship FFSAGT, the Euroformula Open, the Clio Cup, the Funyo Cup, Formula 4 France as well as the Twin'Cup.
