Double blow for Logan Sargeant, who regains the lead in the championship

Disappointed to have lost the championship lead after engine failures in race 1, Logan sargeant put the church back in the center of the village this Sunday, winning race 2 of the Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 3. The American beat his teammate Frédérik Vesti (Prema) and the protégé of Red Bull Liam Lawson (Hitech). This victory, accompanied by the two points for the best lap in the race, allows him to regain control of the drivers' classification by seven units against Oscar piastri, 6th of the day.

The Australian, 5th on the line, was penalized five seconds for taking advantage of the limits of the track to overtake Richard Verschoor in Eau Rouge. A penalty which benefited Theo Pourchaire, which goes back to 5th place. The Frenchman thought he would bring home a new podium from Belgium after his fine 2nd place obtained in race 1. But while he was 3rd, he was unable to do anything without DRS on Lawson's attack, which also benefited Alexander Smolyar and to Piastri, a few laps later. The Frenchman still took the points for 5th place and confirmed his good consistency.

For his part, Pierre-Louis Chovet was not at the end of the race. The Frenchman shot straight after the Combes straight on the 5th lap, while he made a good comeback once again. Clément Novalak took 18th place for the day.
