FIA F3 World Cup – Ticktum on pole in the Qualifying Race, Fenestraz 3rd

The title holder is true to his rank. Daniel Ticktum (Motopark) was the fastest in the second qualifying session in Macau on Friday afternoon and will start from pole position in the qualifying race for the 65th Macau Grand Prix in Formula 3 Saturday.

The European vice-champion of the discipline snatched pole after a nice duel with Callum ilott (Pug). The latter, a luxury freelancer while ensuring the GP3 season for ART Grand Prix, finally gave in in the very last minutes. The pilot Ferrari Driver's Academy will start second.

In third place, and this is an excellent surprise, is Sacha fenestraz (Pug). The Frenchman, unhappy with his free practice a few hours earlier, was sailing around eighth position for three quarters of the session. But the winner of Race 1 as part of the 2018 Grand Prix de Pau took advantage of a clear lap to let the cavalry speak and record the third time.

It was minus one: a few seconds after the Carlin driver crossed the line, Joel Eriksson (Motopark) hit the car immobilized by Ukyo Sasahara (ThreeBond), leading to the definitive interruption of the session.

The qualifying race will be followed live video on CARhebdo.fr Saturday at 2 a.m. French time.
