Dillmann leads German F3

If Jean-Eric Vergne won two of the three races of the British championship this weekend F3 contested at Hockenheim as part of the ADAC GT Masters meeting, which allowed the Frenchman from Carlin Motorsport to move back into the lead overall, another tricolor stood out in the Stadium. Tom Dillmann, who is racing piecemeal at the invitation of HS Technik, an Austrian team which is starting to overshadow the top teams, won the two Sachsenring races at the beginning of May.
Arriving at the top of the championship for this third round, Dillmann nevertheless experienced an accelerator problem during the first qualifying, which relegated him to 12th position on the grid. On Saturday morning, the problem was resolved for the second qualifying, with a pole position up for grabs. In the afternoon, Tom moved up to 3rd behind the German Nico Monien and Kevin Magnussen, the winner of a race last week in Euro Series F3 at Valencia. Author of a solid solo rider in race 2 in front of Stef Dusseldorp, Dillmann imposed the Dallara-VW HS Technik, and thus leads with 9 points in the championship over Daniel Abt, the son of Hans-Jürgen (team boss eponym in DTM).
