Ed Jones takes on the F3 European Championship

Ed Jones made his mark by winning the European F3 Open from his first full season in the discipline. After announcing the recruitment of Julian Leal in the GP2 Series, Carlin confirmed the arrival of Dubaiote to compete in the next season of the F3 European Championship where the British team had not yet formalized any driver. Ed Jones also stood out by competing in several Formula events. Renault 2.0 and discovered European F3 at the Hockenheim meeting with Fortec Motorsports.

“As the reigning European F3 Open champion, Ed clearly has the potential to fight at the front”, announced Trevor Carlin, director of the eponymous team. “He carried out trials with us before Christmas and we were very pleased with his progress after this short period. His returns as well as his speed were very impressive. He has integrated well into the team and I am convinced that he will be a real asset in 2014.”
