There's no stopping Victor Martins. Winner (and pole-sitter) of the last two races held at the Nürburgring the previous weekend, the French driver took the first pole position of the weekend at Magny-Cours. The resident of the ART Grand Prix team beat the Brazilian Caio Collet (R-Ace GP) by only 7 thousandths.
He will therefore start in front of his two main competitors in the championship, since beyond the Brazilian, it is the Spaniard David Vidales (JD Motorsport) who set the third time (JD Motorsport) at 0”2. He will start just ahead of Lorenzo Colombo (Bhaitech) and Alex Quinn (Arden).
For his part, Hadrien David (MP Motorsport) took a good 7th place at 0”7 for his year of discovery of the category. The native of Royan even beat his teammate Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport). After their podium in race 2 on Sunday, Grégoire Saucy and Paul Aron, Martins' two teammates at ART Grand Prix, could not do better than 8th and 11th.
