Eurocup: second pole in a row for Victor Martins

Already the author of pole position in race 1 on Friday, Frenchman Victor Martins doubled the stakes this Saturday morning by signing his second pole of the weekend on the Nürburgring.

And two makes three! Less than 24 hours after being the fastest during the first qualifying session establishing the starting grid for Race 1, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) stood out again on Saturday morning by winning a second pole in a row this week. -end, thus bringing his total to three leading positions this season after the one won at Monza a few weeks ago. 

The reigning vice-champion of the category hit hard as he set a new track record in the category, in 1'54"280. He will therefore start on pole for race 2 ahead of Lorenzo Colombo (Bhaitech) and Caio Collet (R-Ace GP), to whom he is half a second behind. 

The two JD Motorsport drivers, who shone at Imola during the last meeting, qualified 5th and 6th with David Vidales and William Alatalo. Frenchman Hadrien David (MP Motorsport) continues his discovery of the category with the 13th best time. His compatriot Reshad de Gerus (Arden) qualified 16th.
