Already author of the first pole position of the season at Monza several weeks ago, Victor Martins won his second pole of the year in Germany, on the Nürburgring (1'54"608). The Ile-de-France resident was ahead of championship leader Caio Collet (1:54”608) and his teammate Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix).
Having had a difficult start to the season from an accounting point of view, despite good consistency, Martins will have the opportunity to score big points on Saturday in race 1 (15:35 p.m.). Since David Vidales (JD Motorsport), Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) and Alex Quinn (Arden), who are ahead of him in the championship, only set the 7th, 8th and 10th times respectively. The reigning French F4 champion Hadrien David qualified in 11th position, four places ahead of his compatriot Reshad de Gerus (Arden). The second qualification will take place on Saturday morning at 10:40 a.m.
