There is an expression among our English colleagues which could apply to Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) at the end of the Formula season Renault Eurocup. The Frenchman is a “man on a mission”, and his mission is to get back on track with the leader of the general Oscar piastri (R-ace GP)
Author of two successes at the Nürburgring (Germany), the Renault Sport Academy resident was due to start from pole position at Hockenheim this Saturday, October 5. Unfortunately, a bad start dropped him into third place.
In no way defeated, the world champion karting junior 2016 prepared his offensive on the leading duo, composed of Ugo de Wilde (JD Motorsport) and… Oscar Piastri. With 22 minutes to go, the Essonian pushed his braking point as far as possible and overtook his two opponents in a single maneuver!
Subsequently, Victor Martins built a solid lead in order to no longer be worried until the checkered flag. “We couldn’t do better, rejoiced the French winner on the podium. We are back to 5,5 points behind the leader. It's awesome ! I tried to keep my concentration despite my failed start."
What a race! What a victory! Which team ! Yesss!

Oscar Piastri limits the damage with second position, ahead of rookie Caio Collet. Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday at 15:05 p.m.
