F3 – Alessio Lorandi wins the Pau GP

After two successes for the Hitech GP team yesterday, another British team won the last race of the weekend serving as the setting for the 2016 Pau Grand Prix. The Italian Alessio Lorandi gave his first success to the Carlin team in 2016 this Sunday after converting his preferential position on the grid.

After having contained Lance stroll (Prema Powerteam) at the start, Lorandi controlled the restart after the intervention of the safety car in the first moments for an incident in the peloton notably involving Sergio Sette Camara (Motopark) and Nick Cassidy (Prema Powerteam).

After the restart, Lorandi held off Stroll until the end, who completed the podium with George Russell (Hitech GP). Callum Ilott (Van Amersfoort Racing) took fourth place ahead of Mikkel Jensen (Mücke Motorsport), Joel Eriksson (Motopark), Ryan Tveter (Carlin), Niko Kari (Motopark), Arjun Maini (Threebond) and Pedro Piquet (Van Amersfoort Racing) which climbs into the top 10.
