F3 Asia: Double pole for Zhou, Chovet left behind

Already author of the two pole positions on the Dubai track last weekend, the Chinese Guanyu-Zhou (Abu Dhabi Racing Team) did it again this Friday by dominating the two qualifying sessions. He will therefore start on pole for races 1 and 3 after having fought a big battle with the Finn Patrik Pasma (KIC Motorsport), who will start alongside him on the front row during the two races, just ahead of Jehan Daruvala (Mumbai Falcons).

Only 5th and 6th in qualifying, the French leader of the championship Pierre-Louis Chovet will count on the fact that the driver of theAlpine Academy had not been able to convert its poles over the weekend, hoping that the latter would reproduce the same pattern. The battle for the title in any case promises to be very close between the two men.

Also note the good progress of Roman Stanek (Hitech), 4th in both sessions. The Spaniard David Vidales is the only one to have disrupted the top five in the two qualifying sessions by qualifying 5th in Q2. As a reminder, the starting grid for Race 2 will be governed by the best times from Race 1, which will take place this Friday at 17:25 p.m. French time.
