F3 Asia: Pierre-Louis Chovet wins Race 1

Pierre-Louis Chovet is definitely not giving up! Started in second position behind the pole sitter Guanyu-Zhou (Abu Dhabi Racing Team), the Frenchman from the Pinnacle Motorsport team won his fifth victory at the end of race 1 in the penultimate round of the F3 Asia, contested on the Dubai route.

The Habs were able to make the difference when the lights went out, by taking the right line on the inside at the first corner and perfectly defending their position on the next two curves. The Finnish Patrik Pasma (Evans GP) completes the podium after gaining the upper hand over Ayumu Iwasa (Hitech) also at the start.

Throughout the race, Guanyu Zhou seemed to have a better pace, but Chovet made no mistakes and managed to stay ahead. The Frenchman takes the opportunity to take seven points from the driver Alpine and fifteen to his runner-up in the championship Jehan Daruvala, who are now respectively twenty-two and twenty-five points behind the series lead.

As a reminder, the best times achieved in Race 1 govern the grid for Race 2. And in this little game, it was the Indian Kush Maini, last in Race 1, who won pole ahead of Patrik Pasma, Guanyu Zhou, Pierre-Louis Chovet and Jehan Daruvala.
