F3 – Blomqvist penalized, Verstappen recovers poles

Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) goes from laughter to tears in Hockenheim. After finishing fourth in Race 1 and returned to within three points of the Championship leader Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam), the Briton took pole in the other two races by setting the two best times with a best lap completed in 1'31"655, relegating Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing) by more than three tenths.

But it will ultimately be the Dutchman who will start from the first position on the grid since Tom Blomqvist will have to move back ten places on the grid for the next three starts after his team changed its engine. Esteban Ocon will also benefit from this and will thus start from the first row in front of Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin).
