F3-C1: Blomqvist resists Ocon for the first

Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) was not impressed by the performance ofEsteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) in qualifying yesterday at Silverstone. The pole-sitter of the first of the three events of the weekend retained the advantage at the start and remained out of reach of the Frenchman despite the intervention of the safety car to evacuate damaged cars in the peloton.

The Briton won in front of the rookie who resisted as best he could the attacks of Jake Dennis (Carlin) who started from the third row of the grid. The local driver managed to take the advantage over Antonio Fuoco (Prema Powerteam) who thus failed to reach the podium in front of Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsport) who completed the top five after gaining no less than five places. Nicholas latifi (Prema Powerteam) follows in sixth place ahead of Felix Serralles (Team West-Tec F3) and Ed Jones (Carlin). Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) had to settle for ninth place at the finish after starting from 14th position.
