F3-C1: Dennis beats Rosenqvist in Austria

The outcome of the first race of the European Championship F3 on the Red Bull Austrian Ring played a big role at the start. Placed in second position alongside the pole sitter Felix Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam? Mercedes), his teammate Jake dennis was the quickest to turn off the lights to take the lead of the race at the first corner.

From then on, the Swede will try everything to get back on the new leader, but apart from an attack in the last minutes, Rosenqvist will not be able to prevent Dennis from winning for the fifth time this year, after successes at Pau and Spa in Belgium .

The top three is completed by the leader of the general classification before this Austrian weekend, the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin? Volkswagen). Lance stroll (Prema Powerteam) finished just off the podium ahead of George Russell (Carlin? Volkswagen) and Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing? Volkswagen).

Alex Albon (Signature? Volkswagen) ranks seventh, after having given in to the attacks of Leclerc. Gustavo Menezes (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin), Sergio Sette Camara (Motopark? Volkswagen) and Mikkel Jensen (Mücke Motorsport? Mercedes) complete the top 10.

French side, Dorian Boccolacci (Signature) finished 16th, Brandon Maisano (Prema Powerteam), 26th.
